The first edition appeared as the catalogue for the German contribution to the 1990 Venice Biennial, where Bernd and Hilla Becher were awarded the Silver Lion. Preface by Klaus Bußmann. Text in German and English. Very minor staining and creasing on dj. Tight copy with dust jacket in very good, book in near fine condition. Important work on industrial structure photography combining a systematic approach with empirical aestheticism.
